Doggylicious Terms & Procedures
Covid advice: If you or someone in your household has tested positive, please let me know and follow current government advice. If you need to cancel your appointment for isolation purposes, please let me know as soon as possible.
I operate on a 1-2-1 basis, which means I work on one dog at a time, therefore dogs do not come into contact with others unless in exceptional circumstance when someone may be running late collecting or I'm a little behind with appointment times.
Please respectfully adhere to the following:
- Ensure you have exercised your dog prior to your appointment, so they don't have to keep their legs crossed whilst they are being groomed.
- Arrive on time for your appointment and collection time agreed (it otherwise interferes with other appointments)
- If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible. Late arrivals (longer than 15 mins) will result in me being unable to fulfil your appointment and will incur 100% of the appointment charge. Late collections (15mins or later), will incur an additional late collection fee of £5.
- Respect my neighbours when parking. I live in a small close and space is a bit tight. You can park on my drive if there is space, or just behind. Please avoid driving over/ standing/ walking on neighbouring gardens as it ruins their grass.
- Please do not allow your dog to foul on any neighbouring gardens. If they do, please pick it up, I have available bags by the dog hook inside the gate.
- On arrival, please ring the doorbell by the side gate, which is on the left of the house.
- Keep your phone close by, ensure you are contactable at all times and keep your contact details up to date with myself, as I may need to contact you whilst your dog is with me.
- Make payment within 24hrs after your booked appointment either by bank transfer or cash.
- Unfortunately, due to a number of late payments there is a £5 late payment fee.
- Please do not pay in advance in case your quoted/usual price is different due to extra/less time required, coat condition (matting) or due to a dog's temperament. Additional charges can vary approx. £5-10.
- Keep your vaccinations and flea treatments up-to-date. I ensure the salon is kept as clean and hygienic as possible and will use all possible methods to maintain this, including turning away dogs that may have a contagious disease. If fleas are found on a dog, the owner will be informed on their return. Please note that fleas and some other diseases/viruses, i.e. kennel cough, can be picked up at any point when you are out and about walking, going to the vets or the park. Treat the visit to the groomer in the same way.
- Let me know, as soon as possible, if your dog has been unwell. This is to ensure their own safety and of others.
- Advise me if your dog has any behavioural issues. Please note that you have a responsibility under “The Dangerous Dog Act”, which holds you liable for bites and injuries caused by your dog. If I am unable to complete the groom, I will charge a percentage of the full price, depending on how much of the groom was completed and taking into consideration the extra time required.
Please note there is a 50% charge for last minute cancellations (24-48 hours) and 100% charge with less than 24hrs notice or if you fail to come to your appointment, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to let me know.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
